Beyond Rubik's Cube

On Saturday, Dec. 8, the most talented speed cubers in New Jersey came to LSC for the annual Rubik's Cube Speed Cubing Competition!

Here are a few of our favorite photos from the event:

There were multiple competitions held throughout the day.

For the 2x2x2 Cube event, Krish Shah-Nathwani got first place with a result of 2.68, Kymberlyn Calderon got second place with a result of 2.75, and Louis Meunier got third place with a result of 3.20.

For the 3x3x3 Cube event, Daniel Gutierrez got first place with a result of 7.78, James Karras got second place with a result of 9.22, and Kymberlyn Calderon got third place with a result of 9.76.

For the 6x6x6 Cube event, Michael Gottlieb got first place with a result of 2:09.56, Sam Schultz got second place with a result of 2:13.96, and Kymberlyn Calderon got third place with a result of 2:26.25.

For the Pyramix event, Jinseo Hong got first place with a result of 3.46, Krish Shah-Nathwani got second place with a result of 4.17, and Daniel Gutierrez got third place with a result of 4.31.

For the one-handed event, Parker Trager got first place with a result of 14.05, Andrew Bae got second place with a result of 14.17, and Daniel Gutierrez got third place with a result of 16.49.
