Kids at LSC Science Camp

Thank you for an amazing summer of LSC Science Camp!

LSC News

Today is the final day of LSC Science Camp, Summer 2022!

And what a summer it’s been! Nearly 500 campers joined us this season, with so many different courses based in engineering, dinosaurs, coding, game design, astronomy, nature, and beyond!

One of the new courses, “Make It with Minecraft,” gave campers the chance to install and manage Minecraft mods and perfect their 3D design skills. Other courses, like “Eyes on the Skies” and “Explore the Universe,” allowed campers to use resources in LSC’s Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, the biggest planetarium in America.

There were some great projects this year, too. In “Build the Future,” campers made digital 3D models of sustainable homes, then 3D printed them to make larger scale models out of cardboard. In “Who Digs Dinos,” our youngest campers helped rebuild dinosaur skeletons!

Our scholarship program provided a week of Science Camp for 14 students from Jersey City, including a lunch plan, totaling over $10,000 that LSC put into the community.

Thank you to everyone who learned with us this summer! Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates on all upcoming Camp programs at LSC.
