Today NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory released new images from the Perseverance rover!
In this panorama, stitched together from six separate images, we have a 360-degree view of the landing site:
Here, we see the calibration targets on Perseverance, which will allow the rover’s high-end cameras to get the colors of Mars exactly correct:
In addition to these images, NASA released a video of Perseverance touching down on Mars’ surface:
NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory continue to test out Perseverance after its nearly flawless landing last week. Upcoming events include the first flight of Ingenuity – the first helicopter to fly on any other world!
