Below, please review Liberty Science Center’s health, accessibility, and safety information.
If you have a fever or cough, please stay home. If you must reschedule your ticket for another day, call 201.253.1310 for assistance.
Properly wearing a face mask is highly recommended for LSC guests, but is no longer required. Our staff members, volunteers, and vendors will continue to wear masks while working at LSC. Read our updated COVID-19 policy for visitors here.
Highly trafficked areas and high-touch surfaces throughout the building and its exhibits are regularly disinfected. We also have hand sanitizer stations throughout the building.
LSC is a 300,000-square-foot facility with large open rooms. All of our air filters exceed the CDC recommendation.
We’re limiting total capacity to help limit health risks. We ask that you please purchase tickets online in advance, as many of our arrival time slots sell out.
Compliance with all posted instructions and any directions from LSC staff is mandatory. Any guest who does not comply may be denied entry or be required to leave. By entering LSC, guests understand and voluntarily assume all risks related to potential exposure to COVID-19 or other infectious diseases.
Liberty Science Center is an ADA-compliant museum. When planning a visit with a differently abled guest or group, please let us know if you will need additional accommodations.
Hearing accessibility features include:
Induction loop systems that transmit sound directly to guests with T-coil compatible hearing aids and cochlear implants. FM systems are provided. Guests with T-coil on their hearing aids or implants can request a neck loop. Those without hearing aids, implants, or T-coils may request headphones. Device quantities are limited, so please check availability in advance.
Closed Captioning devices are available for films in the 3D Science Theater (top row, center; up to three guests).
Exhibit captioning is available on screen for all exhibition media installations featuring audio and video. Exhibits with audio but no video are accompanied by printed interpretive information.
Bathrooms are available on each floor. All of our bathrooms have changing tables.
A nursing room for breastfeeding mothers is on the second floor.
Registered service dogs are welcome at Liberty Science Center.
Small personal items and outerwear may be stored for a nominal fee. Lockers are located to the right of the Box Office.
Located just blocks from the Jersey City Medical Center, LSC also has a basic first aid room and a trained first-response team. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are located throughout the building.
Please alert a uniformed LSC ambassador if you need to locate a child in your party. They can alert our security team to enter a Code Adam protocol, blocking exits and searching until the child is found.
