Discover the relationship between microbiology and beer at LSC After Dark

LSC After Dark

Did you know that microbiology is involved in every step of brewing beer? It’s true!

And so for this week’s LSC After Dark – our final Battle of the Beers competition! – we’re joined by a very special guest, Tal Danino, director of the Synthetic Biological Systems Laboratory at Columbia University.

Danino’s stunning Microuniverse wall – made of bacteria found in nature, and stained with gorgeous bright colors – lives in our Microbes Rule! exhibition.

This week, you’re invited to experience a panel led by Danino, and featuring our three Battle of the Beers finalists (902 Brewing Co., Bolero Snort Brewery, and Ghost Hawk Brewing Co.). Discover the relationship between science and beer, how the breweries make it all happen, and the essential microbes that lead to the finished product.

Following the panel, join Danino for a signing of his new book, Beautiful Bacteria: Encounters in the Microuniverse.

21+ only. Don’t miss it! Click here to learn more and grab your tickets now.
