Liberty Science Center at the Google Geek Street Fair

LSC News

On Wednesday our street team of educators joined a dozen other STEAM groups in Manhattan for the first Geek Street Fair.

The event was hosted by Google and featured the best of the area’s science, technology ,engineering, art and math organizations. Our booth gave visitors a chance to dissect their own Rubik’s Cube, watch a robot solve the world’s most famous puzzle, and be amazed by our team of (human) speedcubers. The activities highlighted some of what the public can expect when our Beyond Rubik’s Cube exhibit opens in 2014.

Camp groups and curious passersby stopped in throughout the day, many leaving with some awesome Rubik’s Cube tattoos. It was an absolutely wonderful time and we can’t wait for next year! Find a full gallery of photos from the day here.
