On March 25, Liberty Science Center hosted the awards ceremony for the 2024 Hudson County STEM Showcase!
More than 95 awards were handed out to the talented students, with prizes that included trophies, medals, monetary gifts, summer camp, memberships to professional organizations, and more.
This awards ceremony came days after LSC hosted the 2024 Hudson County STEM Showcase in partnership with the Jersey City Medical Center. More than 400 students from Hudson County participated in the event.
Adrienne Austin, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Jersey City Medical Center and Fair Director of the 2024 Hudson County STEM Showcase, kicked off the awards ceremony thanking all the students for their participation and enthusiasm.
“We are overjoyed to be able to present awards to each and every one of you,” said Austin. “You’ve worked hard, and you’ve earned the acknowledgments you’re receiving today and the doors that they will open to you in the future.”
Next, LSC President and CEO Paul Hoffman and President and Chief Executive Officer at Jersey City Medical Center Michael Prilutsky came out to congratulate the winners.
“You are the best and brightest STEM scholars in Hudson County, and we could not be more proud of the hard work and talent you displayed in this competition,” said Prilutsky.
Hoffman added, “On behalf of Jersey City Medical Center and Liberty Science Center, we are awed by your creativity, talent and intellect, and so proud to be able to invest in your development as the future leaders of STEM in our state, our nation, and the world.”
From there, the awards began, led by Ivory Williams, Vice President of STEM Education at LSC.

Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you for your innovative solutions on how we can pursue a better world through science and technology!
