Time to get curious!
On September 17, Liberty Science Center invited several bloggers from the local area to celebrate Curiosity Day 2016 with us. A day recognized by bookstores, libraries and institutions across the country, Curiosity Day celebrates the anniversary of the first Curious George book published in 1941.
This year’s Curiosity Day was particularly special. Not only was it the 75th anniversary of Curious George, but it was also the day LSC launched its new Curious George: Let’s Get Curious! exhibit, a fun, interactive experience that lets young learners explore George’s world via STEM-centric activities. The exhibit was here once before in 2012, but brought back due to popular demand.
In celebration of the big day, Curious George himself made an appearance and took photos with the bloggers and their families. Kids also got to meet some of George’s friends from the jungle, including a jungle carpet python and a red-footed tortoise.
