LSC News

On March 13, 2024 at our next Community Evening, we’ll be joined by two special guests: Jeremy Lewan and Andrea John! Jeremy and Andrea are NASA-Partner Eclipse Ambassadors, educating underserved communities across the tri-state area about eclipse science and safety.

Attendees at our Community Evening can join Jeremy and Andrea for “Spectacle of a Lifetime,” an exciting, engaging, inclusive, and hands-on presentation diving deep into the mechanics of the upcoming total eclipse this April.

More About the Special Guests

Jeremy Lewan is a multifaceted and diverse trailblazer, breaking stereotypes in broadcast meteorology, fashion modeling, and oceanographic research. He’s wanted to be a meteorologist since he was five years old, and he is the newest member of the WNEP-TV Stormtracker 16 weather team of broadcast meteorologists in Scranton, Pennsylvania—and is the only long-haired on-air male meteorologist in America. Jeremy has interned with Al Roker on the TODAY Show, won a top-prize scholarship from the American Meteorological Society, and has received nothing less than an A in every class since kindergarten.
