Just because it’s winter in New Jersey doesn’t mean you need to stay at home every day and never leave the house!

To help you beat the cabin fever, The Active Times recently released their list of the 75 best indoor places in America for fun when it’s cold outside. And guess what? Liberty Science Center made the list!

Here’s what they said about us:

“Discover your love of science at Jersey City’s Liberty Science Center, an interactive science museum and learning center within Liberty State Park. Enjoy an impressive array of science exhibits as well as the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, the largest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere, which has 400 seats and a nearly 90-foot-diameter dome.”

Woo hoo! Thanks for the shoutout, The Active Times!

Come visit us this winter! Our Dinosaur Train exhibition closes on Jan. 20, but our newest adventure for young learners – Wild Kratts! Creature Power – opens on Feb. 1.

In addition, you can soar through space in our Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, play a real-life version of Angry Birds in Angry Birds Universe, discover the power of your senses in the Touch Tunnel, climb 35 feet above the floor in the Infinity Climber, meet naked mole rats, cotton-top tamarin monkeys, and 100+ animal species in Eat and Be Eaten, and so much more!

We're also getting rave reviews for our NEW monthly event series, Extreme LSC! Every fourth Friday evening, kids can experience LSC's coolest adventures: laser tag, slime, a massive ball pit, stargazing, planetarium shows, and more! Accompanying adults 21 and over can also enjoy a menu of beer and wine. Click here to learn more and get tickets.
