NJ Governor Phil Murphy, friends of LSC join John and Regina Scully for special preview of The Great Train Set
On June 26, 2022, Liberty Science Center held a special preview of our newest exhibition, The Great Train Set!
The preview was attended by friends of the Science Center, including NJ Governor Phil Murphy who, in his remarks, said “This exhibit will be something that transforms all sorts of lives, particularly kids’ lives.”
The Great Train Set was made possible by the vision and generosity of John H. and Regina K. Scully.
Mr. Scully – who celebrated his 78th birthday that night! – gathered an expert team to create one of the most elaborate and detailed model railroads ever built, a glimpse into his childhood in the 1950s when he was fascinated by trains and train travel. Now it has a permanent home at LSC!
Experience it yourself when the exhibition opens August 6, following a members-only preview July 29 through August 5!
